Thank you for contacting the Blogger’s Choice Awards.
We are committed to keeping the Awards fair for every blog nominated. Part of our commitment to keep the Awards fair involves identifying and removing blogs that violate our Rules and Terms of Service, which can be found under the “About” section of our website. The blog you are inquiring about is one of a number of blogs that were removed from the Blogger’s Choice Awards for the following reasons:
1. The blog had multiple votes all coming from the same IP address (violation of Rule #4 and #6). While we understand that this may indicate that a number of votes all came from the same family or same office complex, for example, there is currently no process in place for us to distinguish whether that is in fact the case. We keep track of the IP addresses on votes across the board, so be assured that all other blogs at the Blogger’s Choice Awards have been regulated in the same way.
2. The blog was nominated for multiple “copycat” URLs (violation of Rule #2). This includes misspellings of the same URL, additional URLs which forward to the original blog, and pages or sections within the blog.
The site in question is one of a network of sites all covering the same topic that have been removed from the Blogger’s Choice Awards for the same reason. The original sites were notified first via a warning and manual removal of duplicate votes, but the rest of the sites in the network have been removed without warning due to the volume of them, which increased over time. Per the Terms of Service of our website (Term #3), “PayPerPost reserves the right to remove any content from the Service website at any time, without notice.”
I hope that the above has sufficiently explained our position on this matter.
Respectfully,
Jillian
